RORS training camp
Book in for our school holiday training camp where we will work our way through motorcycle themed learning outcomes with a focus on having fun! (Sorry no rentals available for this one, yet).
It’s full days 9am to 5pm but make your own arrangements for accommodation if you’re staying in the area. Drop off your kids (or stay and watch) with bikes, fuel, gear, lunch, snacks and drinks, and we will keep them busy for the duration. Coaches are IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) registered members of the PVG scheme, qualified youth workers and first aid qualified, motocross and enduro coaches.
Event is aimed at youth riders but will open to novice adults if we still have spaces 2 weeks before the event. Register interest or book now to secure your place. Training will be split into two groups –
- Group A, Novice riders, new starters and improvers.
- Group B, Intermediate or expert, have raced or ridden with others at official events or practice days.
Each day will follow the same structured approach:
- 0900 Drop off / arrival / admin.
- 0930 Track walk and physical warm up.
- 1030 Riding session with split: group a on coaching drills and skills, group b on laps.
- 1115 Rest and snack.
- 1130 Riding session with split: group b on coaching drills and skills, group a on laps.
- 1215 Fitness development with a practical element.
- 1300 Lunch break.
- 1330 Group task (games) with a learning element – team building, problem solving and communication skills.
- 1430 Riding session with split: group a on coaching drills and skills, group b on laps.
- 1515 Rest and snack.
- 1530 Riding session with split: group b on coaching drills and skills, group a on laps.
- 1615 Open practice.
- 1645 Debrief and admin.
- 1700 Collection / departure.
